Household Backup Generators

Backup Generators for Your Home

Whether power outages are planned or unexpected, they’re never convenient.

With days-long blackouts regularly being sparked by storms, flash flooding and bushfires across the country an increasing number of Australian homeowners are opting to be prepared by installing a backup generator in their home.

With a backup generator, you can rest easy knowing you can power essential lights and appliances when the electricity grid goes down, keeping your family safe. For those with medical conditions that rely on powered equipment, having a backup generator is not just a luxury, it’s lifesaving. Similarly, ensuring the young and old living in our homes can stay warm or cool is critical for health.

Home backup generators are also key to ensuring your fridges and freezers keep running and critical food supplies aren’t lost during an extended outage.

Connect Solar’s Backup Generators

At Connect Solar, our range includes the best diesel generators up to 50kva with either a manual or automatic transfer switch.

For homes located in areas where power outages are rare, choosing a simpler, smaller portable backup generator with a manual changeover switch will likely be sufficient and will be more affordable.

If your home is more prone to power blackouts or extended outages, you work from home or run critical medical equipment, it is wise to consider a stationary back up generator that has an automatic transfer switch. These fully automatic systems switch over to your generator without you having to intervene, which is highly convenient, especially in emergency situations.

I had no idea about solar so from placing a general online enquiry I received more than a dozen calls from pesky sales people. SMHWA were in fact the opposite. Quality brands that are competitively priced and which are installed by the professionals themselves who own and run the company. SMHWA is also not too small that they should be around as long as their products but also not too large that they still provide good customer service.

One of the issues I had with solar was finding someone reputable that you can trust. Everyone claims they are good but how is anyone really to know? Customer reviews! I promise these people are the real deal, you won't be disappointed putting your trust in them.
